The theme given to me by Shelley was the Ocean, and I was inspired by the mysterious and abundant life in the ocean. I love to see the way tiny fishes gather, disperse and move with the flow of the water and imagined this habitat with the sea fan coral. The petals of gaillardia and alstroemeria have opposite splashes of orange and yellow and created a new form when massed together. Since this work is made only for digital and print media, I could detach some of the petals and let them swim into the sea fan.
